How to troubleshoot

  1. Identify the problem: Gather information about the issue, such as any error messages or symptoms, to define the problem and understand its scope.

  2. Research: Look for documentation, knowledge bases, forums, or support sites that may have explanations or solutions.

  3. Determine a probable cause: Establish a theory about what might be causing the problem.

  4. Create a plan: Develop a plan of action to resolve the problem, and consider any potential effects.

  5. Test a solution: Try basic fixes, such as restarting your computer or program, or updating your software, drivers, or operating system. You can also check your hardware to make sure it's connected properly and turned on.

  6. Evaluate the results: See if the solution worked, and if not, try again.

  7. Implement the solution: If the solution works, you can resume your normal activities.

  8. Document: Record your findings, actions, outcomes, and any lessons learned.
